Circleville, OH is known for its pumpkins, outdoor activities, and pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for a quiet cup of coffee and a tasty snack, there are plenty of places to choose from. Let’s take a look at the best coffee shops in town.

Scioto Valley Coffee

Circleville’s very first specialty coffee house is located in the historic downtown area. Visit their website at Scioto Valley Coffee. It’s a very cozy place with tasteful modern decor and friendly, efficient baristas. They offer a wide range of coffees and alternative drinks, with top-notch ingredients and over 30 different flavorings. A few of the local favorites include the Scioto Valley Mocha, which uses white chocolate with swirls of caramel, the vanilla latte, and the cafe mocha with gourmet chocolate sauce.

The servers here are accommodating, eager to make customers feel welcome, and always ready with coffee recommendations. For lactose-intolerant customers, you’ll find plenty of milk alternatives here. Their menu is packed with delicious breakfast and lunch items, including gluten-free options. And if your dog is with you, why not treat it to a pup cup?

Joy Coffee House

The Joy Coffee House is a popular little coffee house that is warm and wonderfully decorated inside, with an old brick style and pleasing woody furnishing. Many regulars return for the atmosphere and quality of service, as well as the superb coffee. The servers are delightful and ready with a smile and a few kind words for everyone who steps in through their doors. With super-fast wifi and very comfy seating, it’s a great place to hang out or do a little laptop work.

When it comes to the quality of beverages, you’d be hard-pressed to find better coffee in town. The butterscotch latte, peppermint mocha, campfire mocha, and simple dark roast coffee all come highly recommended. If you’re peckish, they also have scrumptious homemade-style treats and dishes.

Lindsey’s Bakery

If you’d like to dunk a delicious freshly made donut or pastry in your coffee, pop into this fantastic local bakery and coffee house which has been in operation for over 50 years. If you appreciate consistency of quality, you won’t be disappointed here. Lindsey’s Bakery has been using exactly the same recipes, to the great pleasure of their customers, for decades.

They boast what they claim to be the world’s largest pumpkin pie, displayed in the window. If you’re a fan of pumpkins, regulars also adore their rather unique pumpkin donuts, which are exceptionally tasty and worth the visit alone. On top of it all, the coffee is very smooth and high quality indeed, and the staff are always friendly, courteous, and prompt.

Whichever of these excellent establishments you choose for your next coffee, follow it up with a visit to Coughlin Ford of Circleville.
