Updated Model Lineup 

For 2025, Ford offers the Explorer in four exciting trim levels: Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum. The all-new entry model comes with a wealth of standard features for a base trim, including a 300-hp powertrain mated to standard rear-wheel drive with six selectable drive modes, an upgrade compared to the 2024 Explorer’s four standard drive modes. Four-wheel drive with seven drive modes is optional, optimizing the model for off-roading.

The ST-Line, ST, and Platinum trim levels build on their 2024 counterparts with appearance, performance, and technology upgrades. For instance, the Class III Trailer Tow Package comes standard on the 2025 ST-Line, whereas a trailering package was only offered as an option on the 2024 model.

Refreshed Exterior Styling

Ford reimagined the Explorer for 2025, enhancing the model with eye-catching styling elements. A bolder stance and a refreshed grille surrounded by a uniquely styled front end steal the show, helping you turn heads wherever you go. The 2025 model also impresses with sleeker LED headlamps compared to the previous year’s model and an updated liftgate designed to maintain the SUV’s premium appearance.

A Redesigned Interior

The new Explorer also comes with a revamped interior, including new soft-touch surfaces such as Dark Gray seats with Harvest Bronze accent stitching and Black Onyx inserts on the Active trim. Upscale materials, including the popular ActiveX or leather seating surfaces, come standard on the upper trims, for added comfort and enhanced visual appeal.

A pushed-forward dashboard adds extra front-row legroom compared to the 2024 model, while an integrated tray below the touchscreen offers loose-item storage and can be had with an optional wireless charging pad.

All-New Tech Features 

One of the main upgrades compared to the 2024 model is the all-new Ford Digital Experience infotainment system. Offered with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, this Google-based system boasts an intuitive user experience and includes Google Assistant and Alexa for seamless voice control. The touchscreen pairs with a 12.3-inch digital cluster display, while standard smartphone integration and SiriusXM offer countless entertainment options.

Ford also enhances the new Explorer with available BlueCruise, enabling hands-free highway driving so you can make your long rides and road trips more enjoyable.
