This edition of the Ranger has four trim levels for you to choose from, XL, XLT, LARIAT, and Raptor, with three engines offered among them. The base engine is a 270-horsepower 2.3-liter with 310 pound-feet of torque that comes standard with all models except the rugged Raptor. The next largest engine is a 2.7-liter with 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque that’s available for both XLT and LARIAT models.

The largest and strongest engine is the Raptor’s 405-horsepower 3.0-liter engine, which produces 430 pound-feet of torque, and every engine comes with fuel-saving EcoBoost technology and a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available and comes paired with Selectable Drive Modes, a terrain management system with multiple performance modes to choose from.

Cabin Comforts and Design

Inside the cab, air conditioning, power first- and second-row windows, front bucket seats in premium cloth and a rear fold-flat bench seat all come standard. Dual-zone climate control is available, and select trims come with even more luxury, like heated, power-adjustable front seats, leather trim seating material, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear under-seat storage area, and an auto-dimming electrochromic rearview mirror.

Outside the truck, you’ll find a power-locking tailgate, two front tow hooks, automatic on/off headlamps, and, in select models, rain-sensing wipers, LED bed lighting, and zone lighting. LED daytime running lamps, headlamps, and fog lamps are all standard, and with the available Tough Bed Spray-In Bedliner, pickup box extender, and multiple tonneau cover types, this pickup’s more than ready to haul and protect cargo.

Advanced Tech Throughout

Standard tech highlights found in this edition’s cabin include an 8-inch digital instrument cluster behind the wheel, multiple Type A and C USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet for personal devices, keyless remote entry, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that works anywhere within 50 feet of the truck. There’s also the SYNC 4A infotainment system, which comes standard with a 10-inch display screen in lower trims and a 12-inch one, as well as navigation assistance, in upper trims.
