Introducing the 2024 Ford Expedition

Robust Capacity

The Ford Expedition is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This standard engine delivers 380 horsepower, although the Timberline trim level gets a slightly higher horsepower level, as does the Limited trim level when paired with the Stealth Performance package.

The Expedition has a maximum towing capacity of 9,300 pounds. The Expedition Max, which has a slightly longer wheelbase, can tow up to 9,000 pounds. That capacity is enough to tow a camper, a utility trailer, or a boat.

Comfortable Cabin

The Expedition offers three rows of seating and space for up to eight passengers. Seating is available in either cloth or leather options, and available interior zone lighting adds a cozy touch. SYNC 4, Ford’s infotainment software, runs on a standard 12-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to 15.5 inches. A rear-seat entertainment system is available, as is a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system. A total of six standard Smart Charging USB ports are onboard.

There are plenty of interior storage cubbies as well as ample cargo space. On the standard Expedition, you’ll find 20.9 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row of seating. The longer Expedition Max offers 36 cubic feet of rear storage space.

Off-Roading Capability

If life takes you off the pavement, the Expedition is ready. Timberline versions of the Expedition are equipped with Ford Trail Control, which controls acceleration and braking on challenging road conditions. Simply select your desired speed and let the system take over. The Timberline also has Trail 1-Pedal Drive, which enables low-speed crawling. Trail Turn Assist gives the Timberline a tighter turning radius.

Safety on the Road

The Ford Expedition has standard front airbags as well as side curtain airbags. The top-level Platinum model comes with BlueCruise, which is Ford’s hands-free driving feature. A host of standard and available driver-assistance technologies are on the Expedition, including forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
