1. A.W. Marion State Park

A.W. Marion State Park is located about five miles northeast of the Circleville city center and can be visited free of charge throughout the year. Getting here takes about 10 minutes via route US-22, making it a popular weekend destination among locals. 2. Deer Creek State Park

Located about 17 miles west of downtown Circleville, Deer Creek State Park boasts over 3,000 acres of lush and hilly woodlands, an 18-hole golf course, a full-service marina, and a fully equipped campground. Driving from the Circleville city center to Deer Creek State Park takes about 20 minutes via route US-22, making it a perfect destination to spend a day off and enjoy some quality time in nature. This state park is open year-round between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm and is also home to large populations of birds and mammals.

3. Clear Creek Metro Park

A scenic nature reserve with lush forests, wildlife-watching spots, extensive trails, and great opportunities for fishing and canoeing, Clear Creek Metro Park is located about 30 miles east of downtown Circleville. This place is one of the most scenic and photogenic destinations in the area and is a fantastic spot for hiking, wildlife watching, picnicking, and other outdoor sports.
