As reliable on city streets as it is versatile in off-road surroundings, the 2025 Ford Explorer is a full-size SUV for all occasions.

2025 Ford Explorer

1. Powerful Engine Options

Both engines offered for this edition are powerful and turbocharged, with the first being a 2.3-liter I-4 that comes with most trims and the second a 3.0-liter V6 that comes exclusively with the ST trim. Despite its smaller size, the I-4 generates an impressive 300-horsepower output, while the V6 boosts output to 400 horses if you need it. To help save fuel, both engines come with integrated Auto Start/Stop technology.

2. Easy Seating for Everyone

With three rows of seating and room for up to seven passengers, there are plenty of configurations to meet different needs in this edition. Second-row captain’s seats with E-Z Entry and armrests come standard in some trims, while others have a 35/30/35 split-fold-flat bench seat in the second row. Lower trims have a 50/50 split-folding bench seat in the third row, while upper trims have PowerFold seats that fold down with the push of a button.

3. A Large Instrument Cluster

Along with an infotainment system that comes with a 13.2-inch touchscreen display, this SUV also has a large digital instrument cluster behind the wheel on a 12.3-inch screen. In full color, you can gauge vehicle speed, navigation instructions, driver-assistance indicators, fuel economy, and other driving information, and in Platinum models, this is complemented by a standard head-up display that projects your most important info to the windshield as well.

4. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+

Also included with this edition is Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, a bundle of high-tech driver-assist features, with highlights like Automatic Emergency Braking, Post-Collision Braking, and Reverse Brake Assist, which can all automatically stop the vehicle to help prevent collisions. Automatic Emergency Braking comes alongside Pre-Collision Assist, which with the standard Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, can warn you of nearby hazards on the road. Select trims also offer available BlueCruise, a convenient hands-free driving system.

5. Multiple Audio Systems

While the standard six-speaker MP3-capable AM/FM sound system in the base Active trim offers plenty of high-clarity audio, two systems from Bang & Olufsen are offered for other trims with even more speakers and rich sounds. The first is a 10-speaker system that includes a hard-hitting subwoofer and comes with the ST and ST-Line trims, while the second, which also includes a subwoofer and comes with the Platinum trim, has 14 speakers and surround-sound tuning.

The features mentioned here are sure to impress, but there’s still much more to admire in this SUV, so contact us today at Coughlin Ford of Circleville in Circleville, OH to come see this edition in action during a test drive.
